Our Family History

A Family History of our LLoyd, Shoemaker, Vaden, Vines & Related Families

Welcome to "Our Family History".

This is the accumalation of four families that made one family. Lloyd is my wife's mother's maided name. Vaden is my wife's maiden name. Shoemaker is my mother's maiden name. And Vines is my family name.

On November 19, 1983, Theresa Diane Vaden and Charles Roger Vines (me) were married making the one family to which were born three children, Jennifer, Jonathan, and Chris.

I have been researching our family history for over twenty-five years. Our ancestry comprises a vast collection of surnames including Barnes, Stephens, Motley, Moxley, Russell, Hankins, Harris, Shoemaker, Lloyd, Vines, Vaden, Williams, and Blankenship to name a few.

The photo on the lower right shows five generations of first born Vines males. Pictured are (from oldest to youngest) James Thaddeous Vines, Charles Homer Vines, Charles Edward Vines, Gary Vines, and Gary's son.

In addion to our family, I will also be adding all of my research on these four family groups; therefore, all of my research on the Lloyd, Shoemaker, Vaden, and Vines families will be stored on this site. I am doing this because maintaining five different websites is to time consuming and I do not have the time required to do them all justice.
